This policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on Beatnickel. What are cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Similar technologies can store or read information on your device. They can be used to keep you logged in, protect the service and remember your choices. Lifetime means how long a cookie may remain stored; session cookies normally expire when the browser session ends.

Cookiebot and your choices

We use Cookiebot CMP from Usercentrics A/S for cookie information and consent management in accordance with the provider’s instructions. You can accept or refuse cookies that are not necessary and choose between the available categories. Technologies that are not necessary are activated only after the required consent. Accepting the terms of use does not constitute cookie consent.

Cookiebot uses the categories Necessary, Preferences, Statistics and Marketing. Statistics may be used for Google Analytics 4 after consent. Marketing is a category in Cookiebot, but the category does not in itself mean that marketing technologies are active.

Necessary technologies

Necessary technologies are used for features you request, for example login, session management, security and recording cookie choices. They do not require cookie consent when the conditions for the exemption are met. Cookiebot’s default CookieConsent cookie remembers your choice for up to 12 months; browser settings may shorten this period. The current cookie declaration shows the actual lifetime.

YouTube and Spotify

Beatnickel may display embedded official YouTube videos and Spotify content. These services may use cookies and similar technologies and receive information about your IP address, browser, device and playback. Embedded content requiring consent is withheld until you have given the relevant consent. If you refuse, the player may be unavailable. You can still use Beatnickel’s other available features. Analytics and marketing

Beatnickel uses Google Analytics 4 for optional statistics about use of the service. Google Analytics is activated only when you have given consent to the Statistics category through Cookiebot. The purpose is to understand how Beatnickel is used, measure use of pages and features and improve the service. Depending on the approved configuration, statistics may include page views, navigation and interactions, timestamps and browser and device information.

Google Tag Manager is used as technical infrastructure to manage approved analytics tags and is not a separate marketing purpose. If you do not consent to Statistics, Beatnickel does not activate Google Analytics through the approved consent setup. Google Analytics is not required to use Beatnickel’s ordinary features. You can later change or withdraw consent through Cookie settings at https://beatnickel.com/cookies.

Beatnickel does not currently use Google Ads or personalised advertising. Advertising consent remains denied in the current analytics setup. Embedded media services may have their own technologies, which are listed in the cookie declaration and handled according to the relevant consent. New purposes that are not necessary require updated information and consent where required by law.

The specific cookie overview

Cookiebot’s ongoing cookie declaration is published at https://beatnickel.com/cookies as part of this policy. It lists the detected cookies and technologies with specific names, providers, purposes, categories and lifetimes. The overview is updated through scanning and configuration changes. The specific declaration must be displayed together with this text; the text alone is not a complete list of the website’s cookies.

Changing and withdrawing consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through Cookie settings at https://beatnickel.com/cookies. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of previous processing. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Deletion may mean you need to log in again or choose cookie settings again. Withdrawal stops future activation based on consent; cookies already stored may need to be deleted in the browser.

Personal data and retention

Cookie consent concerns storage or access on your device. If the technologies also involve processing personal data, the GDPR applies at the same time. Necessary processing takes place on the relevant basis described in the privacy policy; optional processing is based on consent where required. Cookiebot consent records are normally retained for 12 months after recording. Cookie lifetime and retention of associated information are different matters. Further information about recipients, transfers, deletion periods and rights is provided in the privacy policy.
